This place reminded me of a BJ's with its various foods and drink options with a focus on the beer...it's just missing the Pizookie. We were sat in this open air section of the restaurant that was in the middle of an indoor mall, it was neat. I think our servers name was Matt; he provided great service and was on top of things. We also were able to speak to the manager Chris on duty, who had stopped by and was very professional, friendly and informative. There was a new beer on the menu, and he sold me on it. Something I'd like to point out is that some of food options are of great quantity! My friends barely ate half their meals.. PBC Willow Wheat Light, crisp, golden, with the right flavors of a hefe. Montezuma Fingers Chicken breast tenderloins in a beer batter, breaded and deep fried. Served with various sauces. I thought these were just ok, my friends raved about them, but the breading kind of fell apart and it wasn't really seasoned..I know there's sauces to have them with but even so. We had these with ranch and wing sauce. Southwest Caesar Romaine, parmesan, croutons, and corn. This was great. What a great spin on a Cesar with a chipotle dressing. Bangers Mash One of the house specialties and it was so so good. Definitely a comfort food. English style banger sausages, garlic mashed potateos, dijon gravy, beer mustard, beer bread, and hot applesauce. I would get this over and over again. The bangers were nicely cooked and spiced, the hot applesauce was nice and chunky full of apples, garlic mash was solid, and the beer mustard knocked all of this out of the park. Ale House Nachos Friend did a half size I believe, and he barely dented it. It was large with crispy corn tortilla chips, a jalapeno cheese sauce, chili wit beans, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, green onions, guac, sour cream. He added steak which was a solid idea. Brewhouse shrimp Fried shrimp, wedged potato pub chips and coleslaw. I didn't try this either, but it looked good! Chocolate malted mousse Belgian chocolate mouse topped with whipped cream.
This one of our go to restaurants when we are in Prescott and, unlike me, is consistently good. You won 't find store beers here, but you will find a moderate selection of dark, wheat and IPA beers made by PBC. Our favorite is the Porter, can you say yum ?? Normally we get a Jalepeno burger, but today I reached back to an old favorite: the Grinder and steak fries, paired with a well priced house salad. We shared our meal in our traditional 75/25% split 'cause I 'm apparently hungrier than my petite wife, and we both left happy! Will we be back?? Oh yeah, again and again.... you 're welcome!
Ooooh my gosh! I was in town for business and wanted a quick but filling dinner to myself. I was staying in the downtown area and walked into Prescott Brewing. I was able to sit right away at the bar, where I was happy to learn I was in time for happy hour. I ordered the happy hour pub fries and a beer. The fries were SO delicious. They were slathered with cheese, green Chile, green onion and sour cream. I couldn't dream of a better combination. I'm sure it's the perfect size to split, but I was there by myself and ate the plate by myself as my dinner. Because of happy hour, my meal and beer came out to $9! It was a great meal and value. I'm definitely dreaming of these fries!
Back after 3 years and it was a great visit. The bartender was the best, and got us settled in with a couple of their beers and a plate of hot wings. Tried the wings with 'Hurricane ' sauce it was fire-breathing fantastic. But it was not for the faint of tastebuds! They were the perfect combination of crispy and succulent. I also sampled the brisket sandwich and this was also incredible. The meat was smoky and extremely tender with no weird fatty gristly pieces. It came with house made cold crunchy pickle chips that really added that extra zip to each bite. Finally I crushed a mini plate of nachos, with their PBC chili, beer cheese, jalapeño, sour cream, guacamole and shredded lettuce. It 's a simple yet often disappointing dish, but they nailed it. I was so excited for each bite : I also need to mention that a cool hip little lady came by and struck up a convo about how she 'd seen we were wearing a Beatles shirt. Turns out, she saw the Beatles in concert in 1964 San Francisco! Say what?! Sooo cool! As she parted ways, she thanked us for coming into her business, and that she actually owned it! We always look forward to coming here when in town, and you should make PBC a must-go too.
They offer great daily specials on food and beer. It's a decent spot for a quick stop, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. My husband tried the IPA, which he thought was just okay, while I had the Willow Wheat, which is similar to Blue Moon and pretty good. The service was attentive as well.
