Dolfor Inn - Powys

I entered the Dolfor Inn and was greeted by what we believed to be the owner. He was very friendly and had a good sense of humor with us. The menu was not extensive, but there were enough options for the food to be good. And it was indeed awesome. I ordered the lamb, which was incredibly tender, and the sauce was excellent. My wife had the curry, which was also very tasty and fresh. For dessert, I tried the Creme Brulé, which was incredibly creamy. My wife had the frangipane tart with custard. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the Dolfor Inn. The food was amazing and it didn't break the bank.

I stayed at this bed and breakfast for two nights and also had dinner there. It was a wonderful place with beautiful views of the countryside. The hosts were very welcoming and the food was outstanding. I would definitely return again in the future.

Outstanding meal and service. We were a party of 15, all the starters were superb as were the main courses and desserts. A wonderful gastronomical experience. Top, top class

Just returned from a two night stay at the Old Vicarage Dolfer...recommended to eat at the Inn by our hosts. Had two evening meals..both excellent, great service and a warm welcome. Good selection of local beverages. The Inn is spotlessly clean too. Would definitely recommend.

We have just returned from an overnight stay from here. I can highly recommend this inn to stay and eat or just have a meal. The food is very tasty with a great menu a good choice of food. A children’s menu is available with good choices and a good sized portion. We was Visiting a relative in Newtown hospital and was really Glad we found this little gem. We checked in about 5 and had our evening meal and a few drinks before heading to bed. We had breakfast included which Again was a very tasty breakfast with lots of choices. We was a family of 5 so we booked the family room And the room next door. The rooms are lovely very clean and have an en suite shower and toilet. Towels were provided and their was a smart tv in the room. The staff Are very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely return here if we needed to stay in Newtown again.
