Algarve's Grill - Portsmouth

The staff was friendly and the food was decent, but I regret not trying a different dish on the menu. Unfortunately, there was a strange smoky odor that stuck to our clothes.

This is my first time in Portsmouth and I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying my time here with my family. I want to highlight that Algarve’s Grill is outstanding in every way: from the delicious food and beautiful decor to the incredibly friendly staff.

The restaurant serves large portions, and the staff is very eager to provide takeaway boxes. The owner is a genuinely kind individual.

To say this is an excellent restaurant is an understatement. It's one of the best restaurants in terms of food and atmosphere I've been in. The food is of such high quality and in turn taste produced to a high standard time after time. For me it's our go to place to eat when we really need a good slap up meal. The owner and his staff are very friendly and helpful. They offer some authentic Portuguese dishes alongside an extensive menu containing a dish for all tastes. The portions are large without being off-putting. We tend to share main meals between our party as to get a real taste of the menu. The food was nice but we had to keep re asking the waiters for drinks and the bill as they kept forgetting and the restaurant smelt like fire and now we do too which is grim
