Puny - PORTOFINO

We had a great experience. Whole sea bream for 2 was fresh and cooked to perfection. The service was first class with a good choice of reasonable wines. Enjoyed it so much we went back for dinner and again excellent.

Dinner for 14 people on a Friday night in Portofino. I have been before, very attentive typical Italian high end staff. The menu was a bit limited IMHO but the food was very good. And of course very expensive.

Initially the service was great, food was very nice but not exceptional. After we had our starter staff seemed to ignore us, we had to ask for the desert menu and asked for some cheese, the waiter suggested not to bother as their cheese is not good and our bill was dropped on our table before we had finished our meal. We had been really looking forward to a special meal but the restaurant fell well short of the reviews that we had read and left us feeling disappointed with the evening.

Ricordo delle deliziose lasagnette al pesto!!! Anni ed anni fa

Questo ristorante è presente da molti anni a Portofino, direttamente sulla piazza principale e vista mare. Ha un menu’ abbastanza vario con predominanza pesce , ovviamente. Ho potuto pranzarvi col mio compagno ed abbiamo trovato molto buono l’antipasto di polpo con carciofi, meno il gambero dell’antipasto misto di mare , con tre assaggi piuttosto ridotti per 30 euro il piatto deve essere perfetto nelle porzioni e preparazioni, anche e soprattutto se si è a Portofino . Buono il pesto delle trofie, anche se i fagiolini erano piuttosto crudi ; gustose anche le pappardelle alla Portofino , che erano alla fine le tipiche lasagnette Liguri fatte in casa ; nella media il pesce spada , forse un tantino troppo cotto. Abbiamo trovato curioso il fatto che sul menù i nomi dei piatti fossero in italiano mentre i dettagli degli ingredienti solo in lingue straniere quel giorno il locale era pieno di Italiani. Servizio gentile , prezzi alti ma nella media del luogo . In generale mi aspettavo di più , in altri locali di Portofino ho mangiato meglio
