Saigon - Portland

I am so glad we finally discovered a fantastic spot for pho! We tried the spring rolls and pho with rare beef on the side. The sauce for the rolls was excellent.

As a big fan of pho, I decided to order the large bowl but couldn't finish it all. The pho was tasty, though a little sweeter than I prefer. It was filled with generous portions of meat, noodles, sprouts, and other toppings.

My partner and I, who are from California, were extremely pleased with the quality of the pho at this restaurant! It was authentic, reasonably priced, the broth was delicious, and the serving size was generous.

I am excited to keep trying more of their dishes, and a favorite is their wonton soup. It is different than what I’m used to from Chinese restaurants (which are tasty too) here it is an experience of flavors and such fresh ingredients. Every bite is so delicious with generous slices of pork, wontons, fresh veggies, and delicious broth. Their food is deeply nourishing and generous. Many thanks!

After moving to Maine many years ago from a city that had a vibrant Asian community, I was missing Vietnamese food. I tried all the Vietnamese restaurants I could find in Portland and other cities and Saigon is by far my favorite. The food is always excellent.
