Whelan's Irish Pub - Portland

The best burger I've ever had! My mom ordered the Reuben, and it was delicious as well! There’s nothing like a cold beer on a 100-degree day. Kirsten, our server, was fantastic and really friendly! Parking can be a bit challenging, but there are street parking options available.

Post-Dinner Update: Wow. I couldn't have been more impressed. The service from the bar team, a man and woman duo, was fantastic, and the food was excellent. The house-made bread for the Reuben was delicious, the salad came with homemade blue cheese dressing, and the mac and cheese was among the best I've ever had. I had the version with jalapeños and bacon, but I heard the buffalo chicken version is also amazing. I've upgraded my review to five stars. Highly recommended!

This restaurant perfectly captures the essence of an Irish pub. The food is delicious and affordable, and the drinks are both strong and flavorful—yes, even the Margarita I tried was impressive! It’s a wonderful spot that keeps us coming back, and we’ve tried nearly everything on the menu. It’s a fantastic place for both locals and visitors alike!

This is one of the best restaurants in Portland. Diamond in the rough safe. Just cook a good Irish house. They make everything fresh and everything's up. Even her ranch and her blue cheese. Something I've never seen in another restaurant in Portland.

Met the owner and enjoyed good conversation with him order some food the Irish sausage with potatoes and gravy was absolutely delicious and fresh filling and sat perfectly. Will go again soon and recommended.
