Tipo - Portland

Tipo is fantastic! The menu features a wide array of fresh Italian dishes that are truly enticing! It was tough to make a decision because everything sounded so delicious. The Arancini was a standout, and the Rye Cavaltelli was both flavorful and absolutely delightful! The pizza was good, but not the best I've had in Portland. The sauce was thick and the crust a bit floppy, while I prefer a thinner sauce with a little more crunch. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it and will likely opt for pasta next time! Tipo deserves 4 stars for its delicious food, excellent service, and cozy atmosphere. There are some parking options available, but it's wise to plan for street parking just in case. Reservations are recommended!

I always want to explore new options, but I can't resist the pizza. The crust is a delightful chewy texture that brings back memories of the pizza I had in Rome. My go-to order is the New York pizza, which is the perfect classic choice, and the salad is equally delicious. I've tried other pizzas at Tipo when I've needed a second helping, and they've all been fantastic. At some point, I need to sample their duck dishes as well.

We booked a large family-style dinner for a bachelor party, and it was fantastic! The food was incredible, and they were very accommodating with dietary restrictions. The quality and quantity of the food made it well worth the price, and the overall experience was great. Our waitress Emily was outstanding!

This is the best restaurant in Portland, and this is really something to say-Portland is one of the best restaurant cities and I was in a lot of them. I was a few times, everyone was very memorable. Excellent tempered wine list, really interesting, well-run cocktails. And the food! If you're here for the pizza, you'll miss a lot of time. The little plates and pasta dishes are some of the best food I've ever had. Your cook meets the flavors of the ingredients perfectly every time. All flavors are well balanced, you taste everything, nothing lost, or overpowered, or compete. I spent a lot of money here, and I want to spend a lot more. The value is immediately visible. Everything in a restless, in a quiet neighborhood, little space. My wife and I will talk about all food for hours when we go, and while we are there, the staff and the owners feel well cared for, and I am calmed that they are really passionate and know what they are doing.

Nice touch having heated seats for outdoor dining (adds to the outdoor atmosphere), as well as having a very traditional Italian drink, the Aperol Spritz.The service was very good, although we were surprised to receive our bowl of brussels (nice flavor) before the entrees and to be served serving spoons to eat the chewy cannoli. I have to say that I found the garlic bread focaccia to be a bit spongy and the seared scallop entree to be a bit meager, although tasty. Marinated mushrooms were picante.I am being somewhat critical based on the cost of everything. With higher prices, I expect higher quality . Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience.
