City Thai Cuisine - Portland

The restaurant is small, but they require more staff on Saturday nights. The two employees were working hard, but with a large number of takeout/delivery orders, they couldn't deliver quality service. The calamari was lukewarm and our main dishes were served at different times. The Thai food wasn't the worst I've had, but it wasn't good enough to entice me to come back anytime soon.

This is a fairly small space, but they must have more than two buyers on a Saturday night. The two ladies who worked were likely to do their best, but given the never-ending line of take-out/delivery orders they were processed (which dug the front of the restaurant and made it hard to leave), they could simply provide nothing similar to service. Calamari came lukewarm, two of our entrees came well 5 minutes before the other two... I mean, it's not the worst Thai food I've ever had, but it wasn't good enough to get us back soon.

The restaurant was really funny! I was nervous because I went to many Thai food places around Portland and they were all very basic. Nothing terrible yet. Then I stumbled online on City Thai in the evening. I went at night and there were lights around the windows that made for a really nice ambience. The food was great and our waitress. I come here as often as possible!

The restaurant is quiet and incomprehensible and is located in a dating strip mall, but offers a wide range of original delights and traditional Thai cuisine classics. Really loved the Entrees we enjoyed tonight. The rice was even rich! Will definitely come back!
