Old South Smoke House - Port Deposit

Stopped here yesterday for the first time. Half price burgers on Thursday. It was ok. I'd give 3.5 stars if possible. Ambiance was cool. Service was nice. Food was hot. Sweet potato fries were delicious. The burger wasn't the best. Tasted like a cheapfrozen patty. We'll most likely go again and try something besides a burger.

Absolutely fantastic. Went in to eat and was sat right away. First time here and was not disappointed at all. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food was very good. It was moist, tender and plentiful. I had the tripple play and even had totake some home. Plenty of parking even if you 're driving a commercial vehicle.

I absolutely loved everything! I ordered a platter with three different meats and started with an appetizer of onion petals. The cornbread that accompanied the meal was soft, buttery, and simply perfect.

However, we didn't give Old South a 5-star rating for two reasons: the pieces of cornbread (which were delicious) were only 1 square for two of the dinners, and the portion size for a full rack of ribs was a bit small—though they were very tasty, they didn't feel generous.

We traveled from Philadelphia specifically to visit this restaurant located deep in Maryland, and I have to say, the food did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and homemade. The trip was absolutely worth it, and we will definitely be returning!
