Sonny's Bbq - Port Charlotte

So I'm not a very big person on reviews, but last night we decided to go to Sonny's for dinner. When we arrived there we sat and our waitress was her name Rachel, who served us and the service there was excellent. We were in Sonnys many times ago the service was never as good as last night. She returned the experience with sonny’s Worth. And the food was also on the spot. As I said at the beginning, I don't write reviews, but I want Sonny to know what an excellent job Rachel did with us last night. It really makes a difference when you go to a restaurant in service is so excellent that you want to thank Rachel for having caught your last name, but the service you gave us last night was amazing to see you again.

Great experience today at Sonny’s Port Charlotte! Our server, Sarli, greeted and seated us immediately and did an outstanding job with service. Prompt, polite, unobtrusive and she anticipated our needs. My husband and I both got the Pork 3 Ways and our food was hot and fresh. Ribs were perfect! The fried okra is always good and today was no exception. The restaurant was clean, staff were all wearing masks (if you care about that, which we don’t, but know many do), and seating was properly distanced. Great spot for lunch or dinner. We definitely recommend!

No matter which Sonny's that I go to, the experience is top shelf including the food.

Food was good as always, but, it took forever to get it from the kitchen. What's up with that I had a sandwich with fries and my wife had loaded tots. I'm thinking they were waiting for the potato's to grow Only taking away one star for slowness. The wait staff were nice and this restaurant is generally a good place to eat (the food usually comes out quickly).

Ordered and got loaded tots without the onions straws, we were told that they were not done but would be brought out to the table once they were. We asked about the brisket and we were told we only ordered loaded tots. As you can see she did change the order. 12 mins later we got overdone hard onion straws. We at this point already had our lunch. We then built our own appetizers from cold tots, cold cheese and cold beef. We paid before speaking to the manger about the issue. She offered to remove the items and we declined because we did eat half of it and took the other half with us (less the onion straws) and did not want a free item, we wanted our items served as ordered and hot. The staff was friendly and very attentive and the sandwiches were Luke warm but tasty! Reason for the 3 stars.
