Mythai Sushi And Sake - Port Aransas

Sushi is wonderful and main dishes are very good. Owner/Hostess was very friendly and personally prepared our sushi.

The food was enjoyable, but unfortunately, the waitress was not friendly and was quite rude. When I inquired about the cash discount, she didn't mention anything about it. Overall, her snarky attitude and the cleanliness of the place were disappointing, especially considering the higher prices.

As big fans of Thai cuisine, we decided to try this restaurant for lunch. However, when we walked in and sat down, we noticed an odd smell in the air. We decided to share a pad Thai, but it ended up being quite disappointing. Despite requesting a #3 spice level, the dish was bland and lacked excitement, with more noodles than actual ingredients. The three shrimp were overcooked and dry. Overall, it was a letdown, and I won't be returning.

We ordered five different dishes, including sushi rolls. The sushi was decent, but I’ve had better from our grocery store. The Thai dishes we tried were delicious, though two of them were overly salty. Additionally, the serving of rice with the curries was quite small. I would have rated this place five stars if the salt levels were balanced and if we received a larger bowl of rice. I would definitely consider going back, but I would request less salt and choose a Spice Mirror level of 4 next time. All the items were on the pricier side compared to restaurants near my home, but I’m not sure if that’s typical for the Port Aransas area.

Driving around Port A last night we came across this gem. Truly hit the spot. The sushi was fresh and delicious. We also tried the Pad Thai which was tasty. I appreciated the sushi chefs; they really seem to know their craft. The guy was happy to answer our questions and made the rolls beautifully. The only thing I would have liked is for the sushi to be a little more cold and the waitress to learn the menu a little better. Overall pleasant experience!
