フィードバックを提供するWelcome to I Folpi which means the foot of the Octopus. The menu is very limited and centered on, you guessed it, octopus. Cephlapods are very popular in Italy and Gulia has built her place on it. Don't expect a lot of variety or ambiance. This is small, barely decorated establishment which the owner employes a cook, bartender, server, maitre d' and bus person. They are all one in the same. Gulia will greet you at the door, take you to your table, bring you win and bread, take your order, cook it to your specifications, serve you, clear your table and bring you a beverage and desert. Then after bidding you farewell clean up. The food is good, not great but plentiful. We were given a complementary appetizer which was carpacio of octopus on cristini followed by a pasta dish with diced octopus, (excellent), and then the main course of octopus in a thick sauce with eggplant. She then served up green beans sauteed with sausage. Finally we had complimentary cookies and cappuccino followed by a shot of amaretto, also on the house. We walked away stuffed! And the cost of this, for two was an amazing 27E!!! We went there because of Gullia who we met at an event in Porcia. We let her do the ordering and she was happy to do so. If nothing else, Gulia is the reason to go!!! She is full of life and will make you part of her family. Warm and vivacious she gave us hugs before we left. This is how she treats all that came in. Service can be a little spotty at times but not slow. Spotty because she will stop and spend some time with everyone before returning to the kitchen to cook and bring out some more food. I highly recommend the experience of going and you will NOT go away hungry. Welcome to her family. BTW: Gulia does not speak English and our Italian is pitiful at best so it may be an effort to get your point across with some help from other customers.
