Had steak ale and mushroom pudding with maische and veg. it was really nice and delicious. the personal is well presented and polite. would definitely recommend family and friends.

Been to the barnsley oak a few times now, seems to be better each time. Extremely friendly, polite and helpful staff, fantastic food at great prices and a lovely dining atmosphere and experience. Had the mighty mixed grill this time around... wow, absolutely amazing and quality food, and there were loads on the plate. Beautiful!!

I had a lovely meal here tonight. The mixed grill was outstanding, the hunter's chicken was perfect for my son-in-law, my daughter enjoyed her steak, and the woman had a traditional fry dinner. Everything was cooked well, and the portion sizes were generous. The highlight of the experience was definitely the staff—they were all friendly, attentive, and very pleasant. We'll definitely be back. Having lived in Southern Elmshal 35 years ago, I've seen changes over the years, but this place might just be the best yet. Well done! You absolutely deserve the five stars and the tip.

I had a satisfying plate of boiled food for just £6—hard to beat! The dish included lamb liver and speck, accompanied by homemade chips and vegetables. They offered two main dishes for £12, which made the restaurant quite busy. The beer selection was also good, featuring a nice pint of Barnsley Bitter.
