They also have shrimp mu shu with whole shrimps in it. You have a nice selection of lunch specialities. There is a very diverse menu and we look forward to trying some of the interesting elements on it.
I would say that this place is far beyond my expectation. I thought it was American type of Chinese fast food, but actually they are quite authentic. We ordered fried rolls, crab soup, three fresh element noodles, stir fried sputs and sour spices. The best is crab soup beer, it could be the best I cost over the bay, even better than those big names. The chicken and lamb in the noodles are great, they reminded me of the café of my Bachelor University. The amount is super large, as three people group, the amount we could take back another meal. The price is also good. A beautiful place.
My husband and I had a soup, dumpling, and main course. All were tasty. We could clear ly taste the vinegar in both the hot sour and sweet sour dishes. The hot sour was nicely hot believe the menu when it marks a dish as spicy. The bowl of soup we shared turned out to be larger than we expected more like soup for 6 8. The service was good during the early lunch hour of our visit. My husband is very prone to MSG reactions to Chinese food but is having no problem with the dishes we ordered.
Went on a Saturday night and it was pretty slow. Service was decent and the food pretty good. The green onion pancakes were on the thin side, not much to chew on. The only thing that made me mad was that they charged for tea without telling me. We walked in and the first thing they asked before we sat down was if we wanted tea or water. Since Shanghainese food tends to be on the greasy side, we opted for tea. I'm not opposed to being charged, I just want to know about it before I get the bill.
We had dinner here Sunday night during its soft opening. They are still working out the kinks so I am just going to stick to the good stuff. Shanghai Dumpling House feels like an authentic Shanghai Chinese restaurant. The dumplings were pretty much what you’d expect I could eat a few dozen at a sitting, but the star of the show so far was the cold sesame noodles which were more like cold chili noodles. I didn’t have the pan fried pork buns but they looked amazing so will have to try next time. Everything else was pretty good. I look forward to coming back to try more of the menu.
