Anarkalee - Pleasanton

This restaurant offers halal meat, and the owners are well-known Muslims, one of whom also manages Shalimar in Sunnyvale. The food here is quite similar, though I found Shalimar to be slightly better. I had the Chicken Tikka Leg Piece, Chicken Tikka Masala (CTM), Seekh Kebabs (both chicken and beef), along with garlic naan and mango lassi. Overall, the food was decent. The CTM wasn’t as flavorful as the one at Shalimar, but it was still enjoyable. The garlic naan didn’t have as much garlic as I would have liked, and there was very little butter on it. The Tikka and Kebabs were quite tasty. The staff was friendly, and they do accept credit cards, although they prefer cash. I would likely return if I’m in the area again.
