フィードバックを提供するOne of those all-American diners. Classic food, great menu. I was here on a Thursday At 10:30. Had a nice breakfast, no waiting. Great Veggie Omelet. Service was appropriate. I want to come back and try the Fried Apricot pie.
I think I found my new breakfast location. The food was quick to the table, served hot, and never had to worry about seeing an empty bottom in the coffee mug. The first place I have been to in a while that didn't put any salt on the eggs and hash browns. I didn't mind as I was able to salt them to my preference. The biscuits were incredibly soft and delicious.
I visited this restaurant for the Wednesday brunch and ordered the daily special, which included a vegetable plate and coffee. The service was excellent; we were served within just five minutes. The portion size was generous for breakfast, and everything was freshly and beautifully prepared. The prices were very reasonable, making it a great spot for a laid-back and affordable weekend brunch.
My daughter and I discovered this restaurant after visiting the mall on a rainy day. The southern comfort food was fantastic, and the service was excellent! We will definitely be back!
How do you even begin to review Mama's Diner? It's a bit of a challenge, but let's dive in, starting with the decor. Picture a classic diner: checkerboard floors, red vinyl seats, and shiny silver swirl tables. If you imagine the quintessential diner, you’ve got it! Now, let's talk about the servers. They're dressed in a patchwork of their own clothes, topped off with a single apron. Most seem to be in the older age bracket (and yes, I'm just stating what I observed, so no harsh judgments, please). They have a brash, no-nonsense attitude—straight to the point and devoid of frills. The only thing missing from their look is a name tag that reads "Flo" and a traditional diner hat. As for the atmosphere, despite the servers' stereotypical demeanor, you just have to go with it and it's actually a blast. Sarah was our server, and she could be best described as a bit sassy. My lunch companion happened to be a rancher who raises cattle, and he had a playful rapport with Sarah. He called her "honey" and "sweetie," and soon enough, I was dubbed "Leroy." We laughed, joked, and even threatened to stiff her on the tip, while she playfully warned us of extra charges for our antics. It was genuinely fun, full of laughter. Now onto the food: it's standard diner fare. The grilled chicken is cooked on a hamburger grill with minimal seasoning, while the red beans fall into the average category. The pot roast was tender but contained a bit more fat than I’d prefer. The brown gravy was a tad salty and could use some reduction, and the turnip greens were over-seasoned and also a bit salty. The food may not be extraordinary, but I’ll definitely return just to hassle Sarah a little more. I know she’ll be ready to banter back, and we’ll have a great time laughing together.
