Village Pizza - Plainville

Very passionate about their cooking, everything ive had so far is excellent and they make their own dough, and grinders bread is the best...light n crispy awesome homeade sauce too. I highly recommend their food! !! And the prices cant be beat...

Fresh mushrooms, marvelous marinara, and tender veal make for a great veal parm sub. Very filling. Fried mushrooms are breaded perfectly, light, and not greasy, served with a side of not cold, but hot marinara. The fries are amazingly tasty. (I just wish they were a bit more crispy on the outside. Great selection. I can't wait to go back and try the calamari.

It's a hit or miss sort of situation here. I went to Village Pizza five years ago for the wonderful slices I heard about from a local self described slice-connoisseur. True to his word, slices of the highest caliber. I have ordered whole pies since then. A whole different animal. Hit or miss because here seems to lack consistency in form. Thin crust or thick, barely any sauce or drowning in it, too little cheese our way too much, lightly toasted or browned (or almost raw, as I suffered last time ? I have had them all and no level of quality control exists. Most times good food. I love the idea of supporting small family owned community businesses, but there exists a level of personal responsibility with these owners of business that a good product is expected in return for my hard earned money. (Last pizza was drowned in sauce, piled high with cheese, and seriously undercooked. Hits my gag reflex just thinking about it. I have to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was training a new kid on making pies. Could've happened. But, it won't happen to us again. Sorry and best of luck to you, small business owner in my own community, but we must part ways. Still, great slices.

This place has amazing grinders and their pizza is very good too. It's very clean looking inside, although it looks a little small/old from the outside. The food is always very quick. A nice gem in Plainville!

Meatball grinder w/ peppers and onions is a staple for me! Pizza is also delish! Very economical here
