Tender Kitchen - Pittsburgh

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to a friend. We returned for one last visit, but the menu was very limited. The food was decent, yet felt a bit cheap for the price. For example, our potato skins were just commercially made steak fries topped with sour cream and a bit of bacon—definitely not the quality I expected from such a place. At first, our waiter was very attentive, but halfway through our meal, we struggled to get our drinks. I'll miss the memories I have from dining there, but given the current state of the restaurant, it's no surprise it has closed.

The menu was quite limited and just average. However, the highlight of the visit was definitely the cocktails, which were absolutely delicious.

The service at this restaurant is outstanding—super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. At first glance, the menu seemed limited and quite basic, but the quality and flavors of the dishes convinced me that sticking to what they do best is a smart choice. We began our meal with the potato skins. Although I expected more than just potatoes with a slice of bacon and a dipping sauce, the taste and texture were fantastic. She ordered the burger, and I went for the NY strip. The burger had the most incredible flavors—it was the best I've ever had. The server mentioned that the secret pub sauce gave it a unique taste, and it really was amazing. The NY strip was also delicious, cooked to a perfect rare as I requested. It came with some fingerling potatoes and an eggplant medley, which paired beautifully with the steak, making for a unique and flavorful combination. I loved it. The selection of beer and cocktails was also impressive. We were too full for dessert, but overall, this was a fantastic experience. Initially, I felt a bit let down by the simple menu, but once I tasted the quality of the food, I was completely won over. The service was impeccable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone, and I definitely plan to return.

Monday April 3rd was my first time there and I absolutely loved it. The service was great and the cocktails were amazing. I am sad that they will be closing soon. If you have time to visit before April 21st it will definitely be a treat

Great place! Food is wonderful and the drinks are fantastic. I love that they limit the number of people allowed in the bar so you aren't crowded and having people all crunched together.
