Absolutely, it was fantastic. The wheel-shaped chips were not only delicious but also quite creative. I opted for a classic American choice—a simple taco filled with ground beef, cilantro, and onions. The service was outstanding; there was always someone checking in to ensure everything was going smoothly. Overall, the service was great, but the food was even better. I would definitely give it a 5 out of 5 and highly recommend it. On a side note, while Mexican cuisine isn’t my favorite, La Palapa definitely made me appreciate it more. However, I think Indian food will always be my top choice.
We came here once a couple months ago. Overall we felt the prices were decent, the food was very tasty, and the portions were good. I would say this is in the running for the best when Mexican food I've had in the Pittsburgh area, alongside the Franklin inn, although this is a very different style than Franklin Inn. Recommended!
Due to work circumstances, I been living here in Pittsburgh. I have tried different mexican restaurants around here, but La Palapa has been the best one out of all of them. Honestly the best authentic mexican flavor especially in the tamales they are the best ones. All of the dishes we have tried they are freaking good. The staff always friendly and kind. Very very good experience in La Palapa I really recommend it
We love coming to La Palapa both for dining in and take out. When dining in, there’s always friendly service, fantastic hot queso and delicious frozen strawberry margaritas. We like the chicken enchiladas, floutas and burritos. We substitute out the pico de gallo in the trio for chips for the red salsa. Definitely stop by!
