フィードバックを提供するWe came 3 hours from Ohio to look for authentic nepali food. I have to say we were not disappointed, we ordered Momos, Mutton Curry, Chowmein and more! The service was excellent and I would recommend to anyone looking for authentic nepali flavors in Pittsburgh. We will definitely visit again!
An attractive, hole-in-the-wall Nepalese restaurant that I noticed that I appeared on my street. I have a taste for food of all kinds and quite after the local Nepali-flake, I decided to give it an attempt! And I wasn't disappointed. When I picked up my food, I noticed that the interior was small, clean and pretty good. Maybe a little overcrowded in stains, but they definitely exert. There are even some drawable table sets for children (although I didn't see any Crayons, so maybe BYO). The service took time and patience, but they are a small business. They saw the best I could, even though it could wait a little. Nothing I'm worried about, but if you are, be ready if that's the case. As for food, it was lovely. I didn't get as massively large portions as some of the local Nepali places offer, but all I got was tasteful and full of good stuff. The Chatpatay was hot. This was probably the first Nepalese cuisine nearby that was not afraid to really humiliate me with his food. I had built up heat over time, and I had the first kick of something that put me back. But this place has raised the bar on me, so if you want spices, you can find them here. Although, not everything is super sharp. My pigsekuti was more in the middle of her spices, and my sadeko Momo were mild in terms of spices, but also very tasty. So, really, you'll find everything here if you're ready to see. And it is a scenic place that definitely deserves support as one of our local companies.
The first word that comes into mind is wow! I had the Samosa Chaat, Momo, Chickenbiyrani, Veggie pakora, a dough ball desert and the Mango Lassi. I would get everything back except the desert (it seemed like it was like a simple dough that was just soaked in sugar water). Portions are nicely large (large, but not too large). Everything is homemade and exceptionally tasteful and delicious. It is not too sharp for most American palette. The diving sauce is so good that I scratched the container. I ate every bite of every plate for two days. The price is very reasonable. My goal is to try everything on the menu. Soup and a curry dish comes!
We stumbled over this amazing little hole in the wall quite randomly, and I'm so glad we did. Although it is not a kitchen that we are familiar with, everything we have tried was absolutely delicious. Very recommended.
Food was kinda of bland and Iacked flavor in general. Some of the spices were thrown in whole so you are picking out big leaves and chunks of things. It took 3 people to figure out the checkout system. Had to wait for one to show up while the other 2 stood there watching the tv. All this was while my food was sitting and waiting on the counter. Won't go back.
