Gino Brothers Pizzeria - Pittsburgh

Gino's staff was extremely friendly and on point. We had to wait for a car shop for 2 hours and we enjoyed every bit of it here. Onion rings were delicious and the Gino's specialty pizza was perfect!

The calzone was quite good. Initially, I was a bit let down by the portion size when I opened the box, but once I started eating, I found that it was reasonable for the price. That said, there are definitely other places that offer better value. At $13 for a 10-inch calzone, it’s on the pricey side. The crust was delightful, with a nice sprinkle of cheese on top. I appreciated that it had a bit of crispiness even after I received my order; that crunch really added to the experience. The inside had a decent amount of cheese, with more mozzarella and provolone than ricotta compared to other places. There was some tomato sauce inside, which didn’t make it soggy. It leaned toward the sweeter side, and they didn’t overload on the sauce. However, the dessert was not their strong suit. The cheesecake tasted like a generic food service version, lacking the delicious, creamy texture of a homemade cheesecake. It was oddly bland and didn’t have the sweetness I anticipated; the texture was a bit off too. The crust was acceptable, but I’d recommend skipping dessert altogether, especially since it was $6. Overall, the calzone was great. It was slightly smaller than what you’d find in many other places, but the quality was high. If you’re in Sharpsburg, it’s worth giving it a try—just make sure to get your dessert from somewhere else!

We had the spinach and feta cheese pizza for lunch, and it was incredible! The staff were really friendly, too! The restaurant boasts a full bar and an extensive pizza menu. It's definitely a must-visit spot at any time of day!

I would give this place 10 stars if I could—it's absolutely delicious! The crust has a texture similar to a donut, not dense like at some other places. We tried their signature pizza with added banana peppers, and it was probably the best pizza I've ever had in my life! Thank you!
