With stops few and far between on the mountain highway, this restaurant and bar was founded in 1863, almost 160 years ago, so remote that they generate their own electricity. While the exterior looks much like it could have looked originally. The interior is relatively modern, service is fast and friendly, food is excellent, not gourmet, just good country food.
Driven past on our way to Nevada many times. We were both hungry and stopped for a bite to eat Really glad we did. Burger was amazing and the homemade cookies were scrumptious
Staff is very friendly and food was very good definitely worth a stop if you're going up 89. The beer selection was great too
