Original Mel's Diner - Pinole

This location of Mel's is consistently enjoyable. The food is top-notch, and if it doesn't meet your expectations, the staff goes above and beyond to make it right. The service is truly what brightens my day. The servers always greet you with a smile, regardless of their own challenges, as they genuinely want you to have a fantastic dining experience. While everyone is great, I especially appreciate Veronica and Angela—two amazing individuals with distinct personalities. I can confidently say that visiting Mel's guarantees a wonderful time. The food is undeniably the highlight, but the warm welcome from these ladies makes it even better.

The service was incredibly quick and friendly! I appreciate a personal touch. We barely had to wait for our food, which was absolutely delicious! The charming, retro diner atmosphere added the perfect finishing touch. I really enjoyed the experience!

The restaurant was great, a bit crowded which is a good indication that people really enjoy it. The food was delicious, and our waiter was exceptionally friendly. Plus, you can listen to the music you like while you eat. This was my first visit, and I definitely plan to return soon.

An amazing place for an American classic. My favorite go to meal is their chicken fried steak paired with either a root beer float, or a milkshake. Staff here are friendly and food comes out quickly.
