Sala Mexicali - Phuket

I had an amazing experience at this Mexican restaurant, with 5-star food quality. However, it tends to get very crowded which results in long wait times for your order. If you're looking for quicker service and don't mind slightly less tasty food, I recommend visiting their Chalong location where there are fewer crowds and faster service. The only downside is that the chefs at Chalong have a slightly lower rating of 4/5 in terms of their cooking skills.

This restaurant has a fantastic covered outdoor seating area for dining. It was busy, but we were fortunate enough to secure a table. The food was delicious, with generous portion sizes.

While the food at this Mexican restaurant is undeniably awesome and great, the service is unfortunately the worst I've experienced due to the lazy waiters. The dishes were delicious and authentic, with a great variety of flavors and seasonings. However, the waiters seemed uninterested in providing good service, and were slow to take orders and bring out food. Despite the subpar service, the food is definitely worth trying if you're willing to be patient.

Surprisingly good potato skins and chicken wings. Soft tacos are good. The menus need to be thrown away as they are old and tattered. New menus would do a world of good for this place. Bonus: friendly cats are part of the staff.

They recently added a baked oysters Rockefeller which is fantastic! The old standbys such as the hot fajitas are as awesome as ever. Like so many other restaurants after Covid there is a shortage of staff but the limited staff they have works really hard and does a great job. I do have to report that the hamburgers used to be really good it was actually two full patties which have been dramatically downsized obviously because of the recent huge inflation so I would skip that for now.
