Amazing authentic Southern Thai food. It was filled with locals when we came! Eating is just great. The waitress was helpful to the level of the spicy. We still ordered snails, even though she said that the dish must be hot to be good. And it was nice. They also gave us fresh salad, Tumeric, to calm the chili. Better come early because the kitchen close around 8PM

Authentic place south Thai restaurant. The food is exceptionally good. We waited for the first record for almost an hour. (It was during the New Year's holidays. My Fav Court: Jumbo Shrimps in Tamarind sauce

The food is amazing here. Especially the yarn with tamarind sauce. Their version is amazing, they added cashews and fried onion, which simply increase this already popular dish. It's not a chic restaurant, but it's clean. Service is fast and friendly. It is very popular with local customers. The price is also very reasonable.

By far my favorite Southern Thai cuisine restaurant in Phuket. The ingredients were so fresh and each dish tasted authentic. We were lucky that we didn't have to wait in the line and it took about 20 minutes until the food arrived on the table.

We went to Nam YOI after we checked it from Mark Wiens. Let me tell you that it is not disappointed. It seems to be a very popular place for locals at noon. We had Kua Gling Moo, Gaeng tai bpla, and bpla Mon (local fish with chili paste). These were all southern Thai dishes and some local favorites. Everything was totally amazing and especially the Gaeng tai bpla. This is a special dish that is very sharp and tasty. Most Westerners will not try it because there are some peculiar ingredients, but I highly recommend going outside your comfort zone and trying real local foods. We even brought some paste for the Gaeng tai bpla home to give my Fiance mother.
