Zipps Sports Grill - Phoenix

The food (pizza) was fire, the beer was ice cold, and Kaylie was a good server. The place was clean, good location, and hospitable staff. Not 1 single complaint. If you're in the area trying to grab a quick bite, stop by. Go thirsty the beer flows.

As for the drinks, they were unpalatable; all the liquor settled at the bottom. We took one sip and were charged for those as well. When I inquired about the receipt, the waitress merely said, "if you count it, the math is mathing." Honestly, "mathing" isn't even a word, and it felt like she was trying to be clever. In any case, we decided to leave a tip using their own zipp buckets and we definitely won't be returning!

When we visited, the restaurant was quite empty. The food tasted good, but it was significantly overpriced. Our server was new, which made the service less than ideal, although it was still acceptable. Additionally, the bar chose to air an Arizona Diamondbacks game on the main TV instead of the NHL playoff game.

Once we finally got the menus and were ready to order, we waited another 15 minutes without any service. I figured we would have a better experience elsewhere, so as we were leaving, I told one of the servers that their service was lacking. She rolled her eyes, which confirmed that leaving was the right choice. I've heard mixed reviews about the food here, but unfortunately, I never got the chance to try it for myself.

Was not a welcoming environment. Bartender asked us if we wanted another round of drinks at 7:01, when I asked if it was still happy hour she said no. She was also talking bad about other patrons in the establishment. Was not a great experience. Happy hour drink prices are great! Might go back on a different night.
