Lo-lo’s Chicken Waffles - Phoenix

Food was great as ever. Server was friendly. Update to last review: Ok, went again a couple months later. Told it would be 10-15 min wait to get table. Also, told it was told 45 mins to get food after seating as kitchen was backed up. We just left. If food wasn’t so good I’d never go back. After I was seated, it was about 10 minutes before anyone came over to me to ask what I wanted to order even though there were lots of employees running all around (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). This was exactly what happened to me last time I was here (long wait to get waited on). Great food is the only thing that keeps me coming back.

The atmosphere was great. Most of the food was good. My gizzard didn't have any taste, but I did enjoy my chicken and waffle.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant today because of all the hype. I ordered the fish and chicken with Mac yams, which was good overall but not as fresh as I had hoped. We also ordered fried tomatoes, catfish, and gizzards as an appetizer, which was decent but I was disappointed that it came out at the same time as my entree. My husband tried the chicken and waffles, which he thought was just alright. The service and atmosphere were great, so I would definitely give this place another chance. The wait time was not long either.

My first time here. Overall a good lunch experience. The kitchen was behind, so it took about 45 minutes to get two dishes. I had a chicken breast and a wing with the waffle. The chicken was really good tasting, hot and fresh too. The waffle was also good. Cinnamon with a hint of maybe nutmeg. Parking looks to be a little tough to procure, small parking lot and little street parking. Central is under construction which makes access and parking hard too. Most issues will be resolved with the end of construction. Sometimes kitchens are busy, so that's understandable. The food and service was good. Definitely worth going. I'll go back and explore more of the menu. It was a business lunch so I just got the basics.

The food at this restaurant is consistently amazing, especially the fried chicken and waffles. I tried the banana pudding for the first time and it did not disappoint. However, I was a bit disappointed with the service this time. It took them about 15 minutes to get me a drink and take my order, even though there were only three other tables in the restaurant at 4:30pm. The staff seemed distracted and not as attentive as usual. Hopefully, this was just a one-time issue and not the new normal. Despite the service, the fried chicken, waffles, and blue raspberry Kool-Aid were delicious.
