It is quite small but intimate. It would be helpful to have a reservation. We didn't, but they had two available spots at the sushi bar. I was only willing to take them since their bar stools had a bigger seat than normal ones. (My bottom and short thighs happen to be big which tends to be very uncomfortable on normal thin bar seats.)The servers were all very friendly. Every dish that we saw was displayed in a gorgeous array. We ordered things that we don't normally eat, and every bite was good. This will NOT be our only time dining here. It was good. Also, I liked the jazzy music that they had playing in the background.Parking: Parking is in the HEB plaza, but far enough away to have plenty of parking at any given time.
Very friendly and respectful staff. It was nice to go to an establishment with a few options that were pregnancy safe. Miso soup was very tasty. We ordered veggie fritters but it honestly tasted like potatoes only so it was okay. My wife and I split a texas roll which was a fried tempura shrimp roll. Very tasty and fun. The other roll was a deep fried imitation crab roll with cream cheese. Wasn’t my favorite as I don’t like cream cheese in sushi. Overall good experience and I look forward to trying the raw fish sushi dishes in the future.
Had some absolutely extraordinary sushi here this evening! The service and decor of this place is great too. I highly recommend trying the miso soup, best miso soup I’ve had in years. The sushi itself was also amazing. I got a crunchy roll and a holy crab roll and my partner got an alaskan roll and a pfunny roll, all 4 were amazing. Really look forward to returning here!
The atmosphere is modern. The whole place was drained and rebuilt. It is now very chic (compared to its predecessor), and the original hand-painted artwork is beautiful. I thought they were decals or wallpapers! I still have to be disappointed. Peter, the owner, understands the art of sushi, and he is all about presentation as much as taste. I want to keep this place for me, but I know the word's out. If you want to eat here, plan ahead. They will probably fight [I] for a seat.
They came highly recommended by some family members. Had to check it out this weekend. Even brought a few first timers. I have to say that the presentation was gorgeous, our server was attentive and patient, and the taste out of this world. Highly recommend the far west rolland the firecracker roll. We will be back for sure!
