Visiting Petoskey from the U.P. for the day, we came for a quick lunch with our 3 year old. Although they did not offer a kid'smenu, they accommodated making him a grilled cheese sandwich and chocolate milk to drink. Small dining area and busy duringlunch. Would like to come back for drinks another time as they had a nice selection of wines.
I will start by saying you definitely should put in a reservation as it is a smaller place. It's tucked in what seems to be an alley with old wooden decor. But don't let that fool you as the food is absolutely amazing. We ordered the red wine braisedColorado lamb shank and halibut. Both dishes were delicious. Definitely one of the best lamb shanks I've had. Paul was a greattaking care of us and knew both the food menu and the wine list very well.
I will begin by making sure they should reserve in any case, as it is a smaller place. it is in a street with old wood decor. but don't let yourself be as foolish as eating is absolutely amazing. we ordered the red wine brazed colorado lamb and healed. both dishes were delicious. one of the best lambs I had. paul was a great support for us and knew both the menu and the wine list very well.
Beef tip tacos were especially for lunch, but their version of a reuben was our favorite. a large sandwich, but so well built that none fell out from the insides while eating or cutting it. the diving sauce that comes with it is excellent! also tried the bourbon bad martini and it was excellent. make sure that they are next to the wine cellar and the main business, such a cool place!
A fantastic place for a nice dinner. high quality service and eating. it is a small place and reservations are recommended, but not required. the chicken tacos stole the show for us, but everything was delicious
