Good food good people! Music was a little loud for me but I'm getting old lol

I was really excited to try this place…so having the mobile kitchen appear in Charles City at a concert was perfect timing. I will say, they had a long line so that was another attraction for me to help make a decision on which truck to visit. The food was ‘ok’, in other words, nothing to write home about. I wanted to try their fish…after standing in line for over 10 minutes, I OVERHEAR that they only have catfish. So I’m hoping that was incorrect because they had no noticeable sign saying that was the case. And whiting was still posted on the menu board. So I waited…and waited…after 20 minutes…we get to the window and hear the cashier finally say it. Now I’ve wasted my time because I’m not a catfish person. But here’s the kicker, they were OUT of whiting and anyone who wanted fish was required to pay an up charge because THEY didn’t have what was listed on their menu nor did they show proper notice of this so any customer wanting FISH had no option but to not get what they set out to do. Either consider your time in line wasted or choose alternative option…chicken. Because I also asked for BBQ..and that was out. Mind you the function had only been in swing for about 1.5 hours. Had there been proper notice, I would not have been waiting in line for 20+ minutes. I would have made my choice to go else where. At that point, going to the next truck was truly not an option because I would have missed the 2nd half of Legacy band because the 1st half was wasted waiting in a long line for a piece of fish I couldn’t purchase. At least they should have not up charged people who waited because of their lack of posted inventory (menu options) currently available. They could have even posted a hand written sign….I’m thinking mission accomplished…no one got out of line….they achieved what they want I gave a 4 for atmosphere because we were at an outdoor concert and that was VERY nice! And I regret standing there for the disappointment and missing the HAWKS delicious fish I was used to. But I wanted to give this place a ‘chance’.

Shrimp and chicken was delicious but the fish was awful!! Terrible flavor and it was full of bones.

Do not go here!!! The cashier rung my order up for 9.99 it came up to 19.18 after taxes and fees.. I waited 30 minutes for my food that I never got because the cashier gave it to somebody else.. then he asked me am I sure that I didn’t get my order!! Then when I asked for a refund they half cooked my order real fast and tried to give it to me.. will not go there ever again.. America best wings is right next door.. I was trying support the smaller business.

My husband and I wanted something different being new to the area so we decided to try this food truck. When my husband picked the food up and bought it home. The ribs were hard and dry with no bbq sauce on them, the smoked turkey leg we received was hard and dry. The food was terrible we couldn’t eat the meat. We spent about $60 for 3dinners and was disappointed. Idk if they were having a bad day or what. But yesterday on 5/14/24 the food was terrible.
