Simmer Vietnamese Kitchen - Petaluma

I’ve always passed by Simmer and had been eager to try their food, and I finally did! The Spring Rolls were fresh and tasty, served with a peanut sauce that I'm not particularly fond of; however, I managed by enjoying them with Sriracha and plum sauce instead. I ordered a bowl of Pho with beef and tendon. There was a satisfying amount of beef, though I would have liked a bit more tendon, which is my favorite. They only offer one size for the soup. The Pho was both delicious and comforting. Our server was friendly and attentive, and we didn't wait long to be seated or for our server to greet us. The meal came with bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeños served in separate bowls. The restaurant felt a bit small due to the number of tables, but it was lively without being overwhelmingly noisy—just a nice buzz. Overall, I really enjoyed the dinner, the service, and the atmosphere.

I've eaten here several times, and the food and service have been first class. Great flavors, in everything I've tried. The vermicelli bowls are fresh and tasty, I've had the BBQ Pork and ginger chicken varieties and both were wonderful, and the chicken curry with noodles is the best curry I've had maybe ever, certainly in many years. It's got a bit of a kick, but not terribly hot. The restaurant itself is pleasant enough, a bit crowded, but very nicely decorated.Prices are quite reasonable, in my opinion, for the quality delivered. I had lunch there 2 days ago, and brought home half, which I enjoyed for lunch yesterday. Portions are generous!

This cozy little restaurant offers excellent service and even better food. I highly recommend the garlic noodles and summer rolls. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I would rate the food as a perfect 5/5!

One of the most legit Vietnamese food in the county! Must go if you are used to South Bay level quality of Vietnamese food! It won't disappoint.

Service is quite fast and efficient. I like how they provide you cucumber water. This place is great for groups. I would recommend their house specialty menu. Their Lemongrass Chili Chicken (Spicy) is a must-have. Chicken is tender. Got the right amount of sauce. Gotta stir well for that perfect balance flavor. My friends kept trying to steal more chicken from me. Which I didn't mind because the bowl is HUGE. It's enough to share with another person. Their pho is good, IMO, the soup flavor is slightly sweeter than average.
