Flowering Tea House - Petaluma

I was just looking for a short lunch. I didn't expect much, but my God, I'm glad I chose this place. The Emperor prawns was delicious. The Chow mine was perfectly cooked, not as oily as many Chinese food sites with the right wort (not heavy on the soy sauce). The best surprise was soup with my lunch special. Again, Chinese food centres have to give up the soup to go order. When I saw that there was soup, I decided to sit outside and eat. The lady works there (owner? I saw that and brought me a glass of water. Great service especially if I didn't expect!

This restaurant is a fantastic find with a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options, including soy-based meat dishes. It can be difficult to find such a selection at Chinese restaurants, so I was thrilled to try this place. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient, with a delightful waitress who greeted us warmly. We chose to sit outside at one of the sidewalk tables, although indoor dining was available. While I found the prices a bit high for lunch, the portions were very generous. Our food arrived quickly and was piping hot. I ordered the spicy eggplant over noodles, which was tasty even though it wasn't actually spicy. The steamed spinach buns were a highlight, filled with delicious fresh spinach. My dining companion found them bland and added soy sauce, but enjoyed her lunch special of BBQ pork over rice and egg drop soup. The portions were so large that we had plenty of leftovers for dinner. With two beers, our bill came to $42. I would definitely make the trip from Santa Rosa just to eat here again. It was a fantastic experience!

This place is one of the best places we have found for vegan Chinese food! We are now regulars! These small business owners are so kind and accommodating. They have so many vegan options. The food is always flavorful, balanced, and we always have delicious leftovers. The customer service is amazing as well. Our go-to's are the following: vegan sweet-and-sour pork, vegan lemon chicken, vegan beef and broccoli, vegan orange chicken, and vegan kung pao chicken. Everything is great!

Really good! Great vegan options. Parts are big! Not a fan of spring rolls, but everything else was good. Good people, too. Safe environment.
