Lone Spur - Peoria

I arrived at 8:30 on a Sunday and was greeted by a friendly hostess who seated me promptly. The waitress was also very pleasant, taking my drink order quickly and returning soon with it. My food came out in about 10 minutes. The steak was cooked to perfection, the hash browns were tasty, the eggs were done over medium, and I enjoyed some cookies for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious!

The atmosphere was enjoyable, and the service was friendly. The French toast was excellent, but the chicken fried steak was just mediocre.

This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I had a great experience. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. We were seated in just ten minutes, which was impressive. I learned that they were short-staffed in the kitchen with only two chefs working, but I think they managed well. The only downside was that the waitress seemed overwhelmed. I forgot to order my side of speck before my meal, and the waitress mentioned that we had a side of cookies and gravy that came with our dishes, which I appreciated. Overall, I would definitely eat there again.

Be the first to open, great fresh tasting food. My husband loves the chicken fried steak and cookies and Gravy with eggs and hash-browns I always had the Veggie Omelette, unfortunately it is not the same, last visit it was lukewarm, my hash brews were burned before this last visit, we both ordered the chicken fried steak and cookies and Gravy. We waited 45 minutes and went out. Apparently they had different chefs that I really do so, two bad experiences for all the many times that we were not stopping to try again.

Good food and affordable pricing, my wife and I enjoyed our breakfast. Gravy was good and bacon was very good. A little slow the day we went, not sure if that is normal. I would have given a 5 but my wife's eggs were slightly under cooked.
