I had the the Pho with with beef #99. Regular size bowl with brisket, meatball and tendon. The broth was excellent and very deep in flavor. A hefty portion of rice noodles on the bottom. The fresh veggies(basil, mung beans shoots, jalapeños and lime) tied everything together. My go to dish. The wife had the vermicelli combination with an egg roll, char sui pork, chicken and a fish sauce dipping sauce on the side. The wife gave it two thumbs up. We also had an order off egg rolls that were well cooked and a good way to start the meal. Only draw back was the wife ordered a Thai ice tea and it had boba balls in the bottom and she prefers her ice tea more traditional. We will put Tu-do back on the go to list.
I had no Vietnamese cuisine in a while and was eaten while I am back in Pensacola. I saw this joint in Google Maps. When I arrived, it looked stiff from the outside. Refurnished Hardees or something, but I never let myself see from the outside. On foot, was immediately welcomed by a waiter. Tell him I wanted an order, and he pointed me to the counter. Cash register was delicious, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Ask a few questions because it was my first time there, got thorough answers and ended up on Pho with all circumcisions
The person taking my order had a hard time understanding me, so they made my order wrong. They did fix it for me though. The pho broth was good, but minus stars because the chicken was so over cooked and cut in too thick pieces. They also didn’t give any hot sauce with the pho. Luckily I had some on hand at home. Hopefully I will find a better pho place around.
Tu-Do is a long established and consistent Vietnamese restaurant located in Pensacola, from Davis Hwy and close to I-10. You cannot go wrong here if you want tasty Pho, spring rolls and a variety of pleasant Asian and especially Vietnamese dishes. The servers are friendly and work hard, and the food is fresh and fill. I enjoyed the Pho with its delicious broth and everything, but tripe, spring rolls w/the peanut sauce, chow my, vermicelli and many other dishes. Five stars and safe with a visit!
