フィードバックを提供する3.5/5 if I could make half-star reviews. we have dined here a few weeks ago at holiday on sa. beautiful wine and attentive service. we ordered the black and carpaccio to start, and the lamb and escape for the net. the carpaccio was a 11/10, I couldn't mistake it. perfectly paved vegetables dressing and meat was so tender that I ate it too fast. the black starter was ok, needed salt was nothing special. the decapitation was somewhat oily, as if it just came out of a deep frit, and excessively sweet, had much too much coward and no ease. it needed acid to cut it through. the lamb was quite expensive, and was not frozen as she expected it from the price tag and a beautiful restaurant that shows photo how much...more
Based on the size of the amount in the restaurant compared to the amount on the cellar door, I would say hollick is more known than food destination than a weingut. the room is modern with a wide view of weinberge. eating is just as the menu reads. tasting and varied, without being particularly bold. ideal day room
3.5/5 a beautiful wine and restaurant in a beautiful environment. on the deck they are surrounded by weinbergs and the raupe of penola. the eating was top notch, starting with a cooking board (after the first pick,) that was delicious but slightly overwhelming for the price. for the net we have selected the bark ribs and rib eye fillet options. rib were beautiful, rib eye slightly overdue, but still pleasant. both well cut, and we accompanied this with the sides of the bon and panzanella salat. drilling may have continued to benefit with some garlic and chili to really knock them out the park. the service was a solid 10/10....read more
Today we stayed in hollick for lunch as a nice leak during the stay in coonawarra. overall the eating was relatiw good (not amazing,) but the service shocked we considered a tasting at the door that was led by a chatting girl who was very well known. we then went to the restaurant and the waitress came by to take our drinks orders without showing us the beverage menu (bizarr). we then ordered our Entrees/mains that I asked politely after about 10 minutes if we could have a little broth. about 10 minutes later (20 minutes for something broth? we were given bread and our escapes at the same time not ideal at all! My wife and I booked a table for lunch. On arrival we chatted with the staff and arranged that we would do our wine tasting between ordering our mains and their delivery. We had a table next to the window overlooking the vineyards The menu is not extensive but interesting and diverse. We chose the salmon and pork belly dishes. The salmon was excellently cooked and extremely tasty. The pork belly was good but I was disappointed by the rather insipid thin soupy sauce Hollick has an interesting range of wines and we totally enjoyed our tasting experience.
