Stanzy's Country Ranch - Peabody

Initially, my wife was hesitant to try this place because of its country theme, so I decided to go while she was at work. I was thrilled to find alligator on the menu! There were frog legs listed as a special, but it seems they’re not currently available—I hope to try those next time. The alligator bites were delicious; the flavor leaned more toward the batter than the meat itself. When I tried a piece without the batter to focus on the taste, I could only conclude that it tastes like… alligator! I theorize that farm-raised alligator tends to have a milder flavor compared to its wild counterpart, a theory I’d love to test when I eventually make it to New Orleans. The accompanying dipping sauce was just right, and the texture of the meat was intriguing. It definitely didn't taste like chicken, which was noticeable. It was more akin to squid or octopus but without the rubbery texture—tender and easy to chew. That's my first impression, and it left me wanting more! Next up was chicken and waffles, a dish that seems simple but I had never tried before. The chicken had a beautiful golden crust and was juicy. The waffles were leaning towards firm rather than soft and fluffy, but they complemented the chicken well with their sweetness and the delicious maple syrup. The bacon was nice, although I didn't find it added much in terms of flavor; it did look appealing as bacon bits, though. Lastly, I should mention the extensive list of whiskeys available, which really won me over. Overall, I had a great experience at Stanzy's and can't wait to go back!

My wife and I visited this place for brunch this morning for the first time after receiving a recommendation, and it was fantastic! The food, drinks, staff, and atmosphere were all exceptional! I highly recommend it! We’re eager to return for their live music nights and to try their dinner menu and drinks!

This bar is fantastic, featuring an impressive selection of nearly every whiskey and bourbon you could think of, along with a fantastic drink menu. The food is exceptional, especially the BBQ and fried chicken entrees. The appetizers are both clever and delicious. The staff here is wonderful!
