La Hacienda Cantina - Paxton

I would rate this place 5 stars, but they forgot my food and my side dish that I ordered. I ended up waiting at the table with three other people for about 10 minutes before they finally brought it to me. However, the tacos I had were absolutely amazing. They were so delicious, and I will definitely be coming back again.

I absolutely love this place! I often find myself in various locations, and sometimes I skip small towns because there's usually not much to do or eat. However, every now and then, you stumble upon a hidden gem, and this restaurant is definitely one of them. If you're traveling on I-57, you have to try it! The homemade sauce is incredible, and everything else is authentic and delicious. It's a fantastic spot with wonderful people. I truly enjoyed my experience! The best part is, it's not far off the highway, so make sure to check it out—you won't be disappointed!

The food was fantastic. I ordered the taco salad, which came with steak, beans, lettuce, cilantro, sour cream, and slices of avocado. The shell was light and flaky, and the portion was just perfect—not too big and not too small. My husband had a cheeseburger and fries; he said the burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. It’s rare to find a cheeseburger that is both well-done and still juicy! We also tried a Mexican soda, a Tamarind soda, which tasted just like the real deal. Delicious! I would definitely recommend La Hacienda Cantina to anyone.

La Hacienda Cantina hosted our college reunion group of 22 people (kids and adults) and were amazing! They invited us in, food all around was amazing, service was impeccable!! Thank you so much! We will definitely be back.
