I ordered the sampler platter it looked good at first but the potato skins were old and they made me sick I tried to get a drink to clear my throat and they said they couldn't give me anything because I got sick terrible place to try to get food and drinks were watered down don't go here if you do avoid my advice and go anyway you will find out why I Said this Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Man. This is unfortunate to write, but I think we visited The Barn on York for the last time tonight. I've certainly witnessed some questionable choices in this bar/restaurant over the years. I can forgive inconsistent food, obnoxiously overserved patrons, obviously oblivious management and very little atmosphere. What I cannot forgive is being blatantly ignored. This evening, after slow food service, going to the bar for plates silverware so that we were able to eat, watching our server pass by out table over and over and then having to wait 30 full minutes to get a check so that we could leave I can confidently say I am not eager to return. There are some real gems on this staff, but the overall cons have begun to outweigh the pros with far too much consistency. And I must add...For the love of God! Get some new barstools!! The new staff has become a fantastic experience for myself who has been coming here for years. the kitchen holds a high quality in how the food comes out. I'm glad that I have a place like this nearby.
