Daou Family Estates - Paso Robles

We arrived early for our tasting and were taken to the park, where we relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful views until it was time to start. What an incredible experience! It was far superior to other winery visits I've had—there was no rush and no overwhelming crowd. Our server was knowledgeable about the wines and answered all our questions with ease. They offered separate cheese and charcuterie boards, but you can combine them for a fair price. The tasting fee is $45 per person, but it’s waived if you purchase three bottles (I ended up buying six!). I enjoyed three out of the five wines, while my father liked them all. They even had a convenient phone charging station! The only minor downside was the bathroom situation; there were only two stalls in the women’s restroom (maybe they had more elsewhere, but for such a large place, I didn't expect that). Overall, I would definitely return and highly recommend this spot!

The view is absolutely breathtaking. From the hilltop, the panoramic scenery is unbeatable. You can definitely expect this stunning backdrop to be part of the $50 tasting fee. They also offer a variety of food options. We enjoyed a delightful meat and cheese charcuterie board, but be cautious when ordering combinations; it’s best to order separate plates rather than sharing. Amanda, who guided our wine tasting, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They have some exceptional wines, especially those that you typically won’t find in regular retail stores.

This restaurant offers one of the best views in Paso Robles. The wines were absolutely lovely, and our host was wonderful. Although we didn't sample the food since our tasting was scheduled for 10:15, I have to admit—it seems a bit strange to say it was too early for lunch but not for wine! This place is a must-visit on your trip to Paso!

You have to experience this place! We've been here for over 12 years. So much has changed! The view is still breathtaking and the wine is even better than I remember. But I must tell you that you come here and eat the food!!!!!! I'm a foodie and everything we tasted was amazing. I'm not lying. The steak cooked nicely and the mushrooms made the dishes. Mushrooms even in salad were above the top super! Yes, the tasting was $45 pp, but with 2 bottles buy pp. You get what you pay for. Huge open spaces, very relaxing. Plan to spend some time here, give yourself a lot of time to get to your next winery... at least 2.5 hours later! Sooo good.

This vineyard is beautiful, definitely plan at least half a day to hang out in the seating areas. They do not sell wine by the glass, you have to purchase bottles. The charcuterie is worth it!!
