Das Rookhaus - Parkersburg

This used to be a great place to get subs but not anymore. I ordered a Dagwood (cold cuts) not toasted with extra mayo. They put the extra mayo on the bun, toasted the meats then put the hot meat on the mayo which melted so it was a soggy mess. There was also shredded cheese on it that wasn't ordered. The lettuce is shredded too fine making it watery. The tomatoes are sliced paper thin. I guess to cut costs. The last few times I ordered from here have been a real disappointment.

Quick. Delicious. Beautiful and friendly staff. Fairly priced. Locally owned and operated. Survived the pandemic.

First time there. Wow. Just. Wow. Great service. AMAZING sandwiches. And RC cola. I'm sold. In ten minutes

Giving this place 3.5 stars. Not a bad sandwich shop for P-burg. Cheap, quick and easy makes it pretty hard to complain about much. The sandwich meat is good and is also smoked on-site. Since Third Street Deli closed this is the next best spot in town for subs.

Best sub in town and anywhere else! Friendly service and great food!
