He wanted to visit a friend by the lake and suggested the Princess Restaurant, he also hit the Rib-eye Steaks. Wow, that's one of the best steaks I've had in a long time, he told me they've increased the price lately, but they also went to a bigger steak. it was about one inch thick and filled half the dish, big taste and spices. Salad and baked potatoes were great, but the steak was great. I go back to try out only their other menu items, heard that their catfish is just as good. The staff was over us and the owner (Stacy) also came by to check our dinner. Great food and great service.
During my meal, the owner joined me, and we had a great conversation about life and various challenges—we probably solved the world’s problems at least five times! He even suggested I send a picture of my meal to my wife, who was studying for finals and hadn’t joined me. Just as I sent the picture, a whirlwind of excitement came from our rental, and before I could blink, she was at the table ordering her own steak. My wife particularly enjoyed the fresh green beans and fried okra, both of which were vibrant and delicious. Everything we tried was wonderful, especially the pies and ice cream—truly delightful. You cannot miss this place; it’s run by a family that puts their heart into it. The atmosphere is filled with a palpable happiness, which combined with the delicious food makes for a fantastic experience. If you’re in town, stop by on the weekend for a steak or any day for an amazing burger and even better conversation. Great food and even greater people!
Wonderful staff and a warm atmosphere. The service is excellent, and the food is delicious!
Everything I had hoped for! I was searching for a classic diner reminiscent of the good old days, and this place is it. They still serve burgers and fries wrapped up and sealed with toothpicks. The fries are hand-cut, and the hamburger meat is fresh. It truly takes you back to the 1960s and 70s.
