Under normal circumstances I would recommend you book to ensure you get a table, we however took a chance and managed to secure the last table in the restaurant. The restaurant itself is cost, has a beautiful chandelier handing over the main dining room, and a simple but beautiful bar In the main dining area. The waitrons are friendly, attentive and know their wine. We were brought some delicious cured meats, as well as a little tomato tart whilst perusing the menu. We all chose something different, I went with the osso bucco with tomato and polenta, whilst my wife and her mom opted for some St Jacques scallops and a delicious pasta. All 3 of our meals were delicious, well portioned and had a great depth of flavor. Not knowing the wines the waitron very kindly assisted us in our choice and presented 2 very reasonably priced, but delicious wines. For desert the 3 of us shared a clementine and meringue dessert along with an almond and pear sabayon which was out of this world. I would return for the sabayon alone!
This is one of the main reasons we keep coming back to Paris. After eight years this restaurant continues to amaze us! Laurent, Eric and Hubert are so welcoming and friendly - they are always ensuring we are well taken care of and have an enjoyable experience. We went every other day throughout the holiday until they closed from December 25 through the new year (would have gone every day but...). Each meal was amazing and we have ordered everything (except kidneys) and each was flavorful. We started each meal with a coupe, added wine and water. The firsts were great - we really enjoyed the meat plates, bruschetta, carpaccio, roasted vegetables. The mains were just as great - risotto with truffles, veal, osso bucco, fish, bolognese, and the pasta with duck liver was OMG! Not enough to say about the desserts - sabayon to die for, the banana and pineapple dish was so light and unexpected, the afogotto and tiramiso were good too.So, if you want a delightful dinner, great atmosphere and friendly attention - this is your place! I do hate to share this place with tourists because it is a real neighborhood place.
Small restaurant , italian flair. Nice srvice, quality meal. Little bit pricy. Pleasant interior worthwhile a visit.
Conti is a little restaurant situated very close to Victor Hugo Place. The restaurant is nice decorated, like in interbelic period! We had a Filetto Tonatto, St.Jaques and some seafood pasta, and all were really good! The prices are a bit high but the food is nice!
Sad to report this was an awful experience - it was our last evening in Paris and the restaurant was just up the road from where we were staying and was very busy but they managed to squeeze our party of 5 in but downstairs to a room where a party of about 10 teenage girls were loud and up and down checking they're phones that were plgged into the wall sockets charging, during our meal. The pasta dishes we ordered were pretty ordinary, the wine pretty dire and the place loud. However we didn't want to be disruptive nor offensive so we stayed and ate part of our main course before departing. Within a few hours several of our party started vomiting and remained ill for several hours during the long and arduous journey back to London. Not an experience any of us would want to repeat ever!!!!
