フィードバックを提供するBy chance, we decided to dine at Sofie's Café, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. We all ordered the Quiche Lorraine and the quiche with goat cheese. The crust was delicious and paired perfectly with the filling. The salad that came with the quiche was out of this world, and the dressing was fantastic. My friend said it was the best coffee he had ever tasted. I can't wait to go back next time!
I'm sorry to share my negative experience at Sophie’s Cafe. It felt like we were treated unfairly. I visited with a group of five women of color, and although there were several open tables outside that could accommodate 2-3 people each, Sophie refused to serve us as a party of five. Her response was dismissive and rude; she simply said, "No, I don't serve parties of five." We tried to explain that we could split up to fit at the available tables, but she didn’t offer any professional reasoning for her refusal. It was clear to us that we were discriminated against due to our skin color. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially tourists who want to enjoy their time in Scottsdale. The area is beautiful and filled with friendly people, but unfortunately, we encountered a negative experience here.
The food here is absolutely delicious, showcasing traditional French cuisine. I've visited several times, enjoying everything from the crepes to the omelettes and croissants. Sophie, the charming owner, embodies the essence of French culture with her calm and pleasant demeanor. I highly recommend this place, especially for anyone who has visited France and appreciates its culinary delights. And don’t miss out on the coffee!
While I fleee from the state on a girl, my four friends and I decided to try sophie?s cafe on mother? day, since everything else was booked and we needed a place to eat before we return to the airport. the outside looked sweet and thought it was a great experience. we were greeted by sophie (we later discovered the owner) and we asked for a table of 5 and was said that she does not do as she goes away from us. we asked what she didn't do and then she asked if we could do spike tables (put them two to one and three to one) and she said she didn't. it was clear that our skin color played a factor in the preservation. sophie went away and went in, we were lost and confused about why we saw so many empty seats, but could not be severed at all. we go in to ask to speak to the manager and was told that sophie had the place. all the time we remain polite and informed them that it was?t good customer services and she wasn't interested in hearing and hearing us, discussing how they just lost business. I had an amazing time in az and it is sad my trip ended in their caffe rude service and never served or sitting. I wouldn't recommend anyone coming here! worst experience I've ever had. I'm glad it was at the end of my trip and didn't begin because I really fell for az. I don't want to ruin a bad apple (here) what I think of az. I don't know how a place she's still standing. I wouldn't recommend giving her money.
We are visiting Scottsdale and wanted to try Sophie?s cafe as my daughter loves crepes. We walked up and saw an open table outside. As my daughter went to sit down an employee (assuming Sophie) came out and yelled at us. She said she was saving the table for a couple inside who had been waiting. Other diners stared as she was very rude. We said okay so we need to be seated rather than seat ourselves. She replied yes. So we went inside and stood there for 5+ minutes while we were ignored. Finally we left. Not a friendly place!
