It seems like they have no clue how to make biryani based on my experience with this dish. At most, you can say they tried to make tomato rice but failed miserably by using poor quality meat. I definitely do not recommend this place, especially for biryani. I will never go back again.
It's time for a food coma. Try the garlic and butter naan with pieces of cilantro that make it perfect. Use it to dip into the butter chicken for a heavenly experience. Wash it down with the mango Lassi, which unlocks the door to paradise. Make sure to order 2 of those.
Not the best spread, but decent North Indian buffet for lunch. Many vegetarian choices but no paneer entree. Dessert is meh. Naans are served fresh and are nice. Service is basic but not bad. Price can’t be beat, especially considering the premium location.
This is one of the best (authentic) Indian food I have had in bay area. A very underrated place! I always get vegetarian thali from Darbar, it's perfectly sufficient for 2 people. Whole wheat tandoori roti is difficult to find by in bay area, but this place surprised me!
Darbar deserves a 5-star rating. I’ve been coming here for over a decade, and it is the comfort food I always crave whenever I’m out of the Bay Area. The chicken korma and shahi paneer are the stuff dreams are made of. Their sauces can’t be matched anywhere else! Staff are kind and attentive too.
