The service was the worst we experienced in Palo Alto in the last decade. We dinate a lot in Palo Alto and service standards are not awfully high anyway. But Arte was a disaster. The staff was slow and unpredictable. The food was good, but just good.

Delicious food with southern Italian hospitality. Elegant dining room and a perfect place for dinner with family or friends. The service is friendly and super staff. Order the Osso Bucco and you will love it! However, the restaurant can have operational problems and not enough staff. Friday evening and only two waiters are not enough for a big restaurant like this and food takes a long time to get out of the kitchen.

I chose this restaurant for a business meeting based on reviews mentioning its peaceful atmosphere. I was taken aback to find it nearly empty during our Wednesday lunch - only our party of three was present. The quiet setting was not due to ambiance, but rather the lack of customers.

Super disappointing meal. My girlfriend and I decided to switch things up and try a new Italian place. We ordered four items: Starter salad very underwhelming Pasta with seafood very sparse seafood Margarita pizza practically not pasta sauce, too much cheese, and too oily Chocolate cheesecake terrible, tasted old and stale Our waiter was not pleasant and obnoxious and the food was very subpar. I felt like I had a bad Italian food hangover from this meal the next day. I can 't believe this place is still in business on University Avenue when serving such **** food. Very disappointing.
