Choc Dee Thai Restaurant & Takeaway

My family and I visited this restaurant tonight and had a terrible experience. The prices were overpriced, $28 for fried rice that had more carrots than rice. We ordered red curry and green curry, asking for mild to medium spiciness, but it was only bland in taste. The curries were ridiculously spicy and we couldn't eat them. Despite notifying the waiting staff twice, no resolution was offered. I spoke to the manager, who dismissively said that the spiciness was their standard level. After a heated argument, he begrudgingly gave us a discount. The meal was absolutely awful and we will never dine here again.

I just finished my dinner at Choc Dee. Very disappointing. The fish cakes were tiny, dry and tasted very “fishery”, and the pad Kra Prou chicken with fresh chili and holy basil) had absolutely no chili and absolutely no taste. Maybe I chose the wrong dishes, but after so many Rave reviews I was very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend.

After reading some positive reviews, we were excited to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. The prices for tableware were surprisingly high, especially for Palm Cove. The food quality was average, lacking flavor in both meat and vegetable dishes. The standout dish for us was the Roti.

The Thai food at this restaurant is excellent, and the atmosphere is very nice with friendly staff. It's a great place to have a meal and catch up with friends.

Very attentive service with a smile in this very comfortable atmosphere. The menu had a wide selection of entrees and mains. We had Ginger lime prawns with coconut rice both a delight. The coconut rice was a bit different than expected it had , I...think some toasted coconut bits which made it very tasty. We have been in palm cove for nearly 2 weeks and this is the best food by far.
