It was a 5-star restaurant with plants in 2015 ́ 2016. But now in 2017 it has changed to a max 3 star deli. Unfortunately, the large shrub Shannon left the restaurant and the restaurant had to be closed. Now the owner tries to go with a deli. The food is far from the quality before. Incredible raw food. One of the best spots on the island. The Acai bowl is hands down the best bowl I have had anywhere in the world.

The selection at Maka is pretty extensive from Kombucha teas to deserts! Even if you're not vegan this place would be worth stepping out of your comfort zone to try out. Nice atmosphere and excellent service. I left very full and felt super nurished. Stop by and check out their menu or better yet, pop in early and try a refreshing tea while escaping the mid days' heat while you look over their selection of fresh farm to table fare. : Aloha!

Damn this is some amazing food! I traveled up from Wailea nearly every day to eat breakfast or lunch at Maka. It was truly amazing. The juices, super cool and super friendly staff were perfectly paired with the delicious food. I'm not a vegan but this place had so much good food that it was a great alternative to the other offerings on the island.

Amazing food both raw and cooked! Everything is made with fresh local ingredients. Kombucha on tap. Juice bar with many great fruit and vegetable juice combinations and great smoothies. Great service and vibrant friendly staff a true reflection of the wholesome goodness of the living food they serve. Atmosphere is great lots of big wood beautiful art on the walls and good music playing softly in the background. Thank you Sha'anan and your staff for giving us wonderful meals and experience.
