フィードバックを提供するWe recently tried this place, and it's become the gem of Oyster Bay for us. I have been here four times with both the family and friends, and every time the food was great, and the prices very reasonable. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
I was pleased to learn that Café al Dente had reopened in Oyster Bay, as I had enjoyed the previous location on Spring Street. Unfortunately, this new iteration does not live up to the original. The service was only average, and the food was underwhelming. The polenta appetizer was overcooked and quite dry. The salads were acceptable, but the main courses fell short. For instance, the Pork Marsala had no trace of marsala wine and was prepared with canned mushrooms—very disappointing. The Chicken Piccata was also lacking in flavor. I don't plan to return.
The pasta was very good, especially paired with the Caesar salad. It's affordable yet offers great quality. I definitely recommend this place!
I discovered this restaurant on Facebook, where I saw they offered family takeout combos for $29.95, which could feed four people, and $49.95, suitable for six to eight people. I decided to order the $29.95 combo, which included sausage, meatballs, pasta, and salad, along with another $29.95 dish featuring crispy chicken cutlets, pasta, and salad. Additionally, I got the $49.95 Chicken Parmigiana, also with pasta and salad. All of the food was excellent and more than enough for the 11 of us, leaving us with enough leftovers for two more meals. I will definitely return to this restaurant!
