No1 Ship Street - Oxford

Delicious lunch excellent service. They didn't rush us, even though we were the last diners at noon.

Easy to book with Open Table. A friendly welcome and attentive staff. The food was delicious and serving a good size, not too small or large. Would go back.

Third visit. Consistently good, unfussy food. I usually have trouble choosing because the options are appealing. Excellent oysters, octopus salad and hake accompanied by a beautiful Chablis VV, available in bottle, carafe or glass.

Took a family member out. It’s a nice experience and the service was very good. The food wasn’t that special.

Visiting Oxford for four days, I found No. 1 Ship Street in OpenTable on my first day and promptly decided to make it my home away from home, coming back every day of my stay and trying different dishes each time. The service and food were consistently excellent, and the whole atmosphere gave me a calm, warm, welcoming place of rest during a stressful business trip. I especially enjoyed the little table tucked away in an interior nook right next to a radiator. The staff treated me as if I were a long-time regular. I especially enjoyed the Langoustine bisque, the shoulder of lamb, the roasted chicken, the mussels, the chocolate mouse, and their selection of sherries. Thank you for making me feel at home in Oxford!
