Harrison Park Inn - Owen Sound

I had higher hopes than delivered to me at this restaurant. I noticed on the website they had gluten free options and I thought I would give it a shot. The atmosphere is okay, but the restaurant was so loud I couldn 't hear the people sitting at the same table which got annoying. The gluten free items available on the menu included chicken wings, one other appetizer, liver and onions, or a hamburger... this was extremely disappointing for gluten free availability as stated on their website. I opted for the burger which was a little dry but not bad. Our waitress came by the table to take our drink order, take our food order, then never again. So we had to ask another waiter for our bill. The family environment was nice, but overall not a great experience.

Excellent home cooking!! Food is always delicious. Services are friendly and helpful. Service is sometimes a bit slow but food well worth waiting for. Love the park atmosphere. One of Owen Sounds hidden gems!!

Great food! Fantastic service! Beautiful scenery! Really what more can you ask for? That's why I give them a 4 star if they had homemade fries to go with there homemade hamburgers it would have been 5 stars hands down :

They have a takeout counter that was busy surrounded by a crowd of kids clamouring to get ice cream. I called ahead and ordered a burger and fries for take away. The burger was properly char-grilled and a little black at the edges but I wasn't mad at it. The fries were thick cut and maybe on the soft side. Overall I would come here again to order a burger and sit in the park. Maybe a tad on the pricy side for burger and fries though. A little disappointed that the lady on the phone asked me if I wanted to make it a combo and I didn't get a drink.

Great park in this town. Beautiful trails, camping with full electrical sites, birds to view, the river to fish in. In winter there is a small ice rink for public skating but unfortunately this year not monitored so kids with hockey sticks, people going too fast in both directions, little kids just kearni g, seniors trying to stay upright. The little restaurant not open until 18 January for hot chocolate etc. Maybe once kids back in school will ice rink improve.
